The CompTIA IT Fundamentals exam focuses on the essential IT skills and knowledge needed to perform tasks commonly performed by advanced end-users and entry-level IT professionals alike, including:

IT Fundamentals Pro Certification

The TestOut IT Fundamentals Pro certification measures an examinee's understanding of foundational concepts related to computer hardware and software, networking, databases, programming, information systems, and data security

EXAM SPECIFICATIONS

  • Exam Version: 2.0

  • Release Date: July 14, 2020

  • Question Count: Up to 20 questions

  • Task Count: Up to 45 tasks

  • Time Limit: 120 minutes

  • Score Range: 200 - 2000

  • Passing Score: 1,450

Notes:​

  • Examinees may encounter a small number of unscored tasks that are used for evaluation and improvement of the exam. These tasks will not impact examinees’ final score.

  • The TestOut IT Fundamentals Pro certification exam is a culminating exam that instructors may offer students. To pass the exam, students should have completed the course of study for IT Fundamentals Pro.

  • Students who take and pass the exam can download a digital certification certificate from the LabSim home page.

Classes are held Monday through Thursday. In the event of a closure or holiday, make-up date will be on Fridays, the week before or after said closure. Classes begin the first Monday of each month. Class size is limited to six students. 

Hybrid Schedule

Class format is hybrid on-site/distance learning.

Below is a list of days where training is held on site at the LARF Technology Center. All other dates, classes will be held in distance learning format (ZOOM).
